Paid Union meeting 25th Feb

Monday, 17 February 2020

Dear Parents and caregivers,

Re: Early School Closure – Tuesday 25th February.

The Post Primary Teachers’ Association (PPTA) have called a ‘Paid Union meeting’ on this afternoon to discuss matters affecting the teaching profession. The school will not be open for instruction at 12.15pm. Students will be permitted to leave at this time.

Arrangement for school buses:

The Te Teko and Matata buses will be able to pick up students at this earlier time and take then home (they will not run again that day).

All other buses (Waiohau, Otakiri, Thornton, Manawahe and Kawerau) will run at the normal 3.15pm time. Manawahe bus students will be dropped off by school minibus at the Awakaponga Hall to meet up with the Manawahe bus.

Supervision provision:

The school will provide supervision from 12.15pm for any student who cannot make alternative arrangement for the afternoon. If you wish your child to remain at school until 3.15pm please notify the front office.

We appreciate your support in this matter and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you.

Yours sincerely,

Richard Schumacher

Acting Principal
